- Job Description* A TEKsystems client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecom GIS Data Analyst to support reporting, data integrity, and performance tracking across key business functions. This role will focus on actualizing data, monitoring run rates, and conducting QA/QC to ensure accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel and SQL, with strong analytical skills and experience in building dashboards and reports. They should be comfortable working cross-functionally to identify data issues, streamline reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights. High-level knowledge of GIS platforms, including but not limited to ESRI, is required.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Map fiber routes and related infrastructure for new data center projects in Denver and Phoenix markets
- Use GIS tools and data analysis to influence strategic decisions on network builds
- Monitor run rates and ensure data accuracy through QA/QC processes
- Build dashboards and reports to track performance and project progress
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to align data with operational goals
- Proficiency in GIS tools, Tableau, Excel, SQL, and Python for data manipulation and analysis
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate insights clearly
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI for presenting findings effectively
- Telecom industry experience is required
- Experience in fiber network planning or construction environments
- Python and SQL preferred but not required
- Strong GIS experience
