Mereo Fiber partners with multifamily communities to simplify technology with fiber Internet, data integration, and content services. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the CFO and serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across the organization. This role requires strong FP&A expertise in a private equity-backed environment and advanced financial modeling skills to drive data-informed decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decisions and establish short- and long-term financial goals.
- Monitor and evaluate financial plans through weekly and monthly reviews, adjusting strategies to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations and Sales—to develop monthly strategies and quarterly/annual plans.
- Build and refine financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and capital requirements.
- Lead quarterly and annual budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review processes.
- Analyze and optimize income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare accurate monthly reporting packages, dashboards, and Budget vs. Actual reports across all cost centers.
- Enhance FP&A processes to ensure alignment with the company’s ERP system.
- Deliver actionable insights through detailed financial analysis to support company-wide decision-making.
- Advise cross-functional teams on financial risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
- Partner with department heads to review budget variances and plan upcoming forecasts.
- Align financial planning with organizational objectives in collaboration with senior management.
- Provide trend analysis and identify risks and opportunities in monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
- Investigate budget deviations and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of FP&A experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in analyzing revenue streams, gross margins, and product-level profitability to identify growth opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting tools, and reporting systems (Excel, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
