Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Deploy and maintain Wi-Fi networks, including configuration and coverage optimization.
- Support network infrastructure projects and collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute deployments.
- Perform IP subnetting, VLAN creation, and protocol configuration.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the Network Engineering team as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of network hardware assets.
- Assist with cable management and custom-length Ethernet cable creation.
- Provide support for network-related aspects of events and special projects.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- CompTIA Network certification required.
- 35 years of network administration experience, particularly with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto systems.
- Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and standard networking protocols.
- Experience using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Manage Engine, Wireshark, Fiddler, and PuTTY.
- Demonstrated experience with configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Proven ability to track and manage network hardware and documentation effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
