IT Audit Consultant

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an IT Audit Consultant to join their team. As an IT Audit Consultant, you will be part of the Internal Audit Department supporting various compliance and risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: IT Audit Consultant

Location: Charlotte, NC

What's the Job?

• Perform IT controls testing and system implementation assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage multiple workstreams including SOX, GITC, and IT application controls to support audit engagements.
• Identify issues, communicate findings with clients, and document work papers thoroughly.
• Support control risk management activities and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Assist in planning audit approaches, preparing audit programs, and applying internal audit standards throughout engagements.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 4 years of IT Audit experience with a focus on controls testing and system assessments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, and/or PMP are advantageous.
• Experience working in highly automated cloud or platform environments.
• Strong ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively, both written and verbal.
