Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept floors
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by handling specialized cleaning procedures as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, supply closets, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing
- Experience with general cleaning supplies, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus
- Prior experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning can be beneficial but not required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
