Position Overview

We are seeking experienced commercial roofing professionals ready to take ownership of their role, their truck, and their future. This position includes daily leak investigations and repairs, roof inspections, maintenance work, tracking crew hours, and managing truck materials and inventory.

This is a full time, year round position with steady work and consistent pay. If you are already qualified or feel you are close to stepping into a Service Foreman role, we would love to connect and discuss the opportunity.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate a company service truck and take full responsibility for assigned tools, equipment, and materials.
• Perform commercial roof leak investigations, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various roofing systems.
• Identify roof problems, determine root causes, and provide effective repair solutions along with proactive recommendations when appropriate.
• Respond to service calls promptly and address customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform all work in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company quality expectations.
• Ensure all job sites are maintained safely and comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Work daily with a helper or assistant technician and provide hands on training in proper repair methods and safety practices.
• Communicate clearly with customers on site, explaining findings, repairs performed, and next steps when needed.
• Maintain regular communication with the Service Coordinator, Superintendent, and office staff regarding job status, technical questions, or material needs.
• Accurately document all work performed using company software, including photos, notes, materials used, and time spent.
• Meet productivity and revenue expectations by completing work within budgeted labor hours, material allowances, and gross profit targets.
• Provide emergency service response when required, including after hours or priority calls as scheduled.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, documentation, and customer service.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge through training, certifications, and hands on experience with commercial roofing systems.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working on commercial roofs.
• Experience working with different roofing systems and materials.
• Ability to find roof leaks and understand where water is coming from, including areas like HVAC units, skylights, walls, and masonry.
• Ability to fix roof problems and complete repairs correctly and neatly.
• Comfortable using a phone or tablet for photos, notes, and job updates.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and office staff.
• Physically able to work on roofs, climb ladders, lift materials, and work in hot or cold weather.
• Strong focus on safety and following OSHA and company safety rules at all times.
• Organized and responsible with tools, materials, and job details.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive and take care of a company truck.
