OVERVIEW
The Service Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, leading service crews, and ensuring high quality, safe, and efficient execution of commercial roofing service work. This role bridges the field and office by coordinating people, materials, schedules, and customer communication while maintaining accountability for performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This position requires strong technical roofing knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple service projects at once. The Service Superintendent plays a key role in driving service department efficiency, profitability, and long term client relationships.
Responsibilities include
- Lead, manage, train, and support service technicians to ensure productivity, accountability, and quality workmanship
- Provide roving site supervision and hands on technical training to crews in the field for quality assurance
- Enforce safety compliance, conduct safety trainings, and uphold OSHA requirements across all service jobs
- Maintain strong customer communication and ensure a positive service experience
- Manage service trucks, tools, materials, and equipment including inventory control and maintenance
- Perform roof inspections and assessments for new and existing customers
- Diagnose service issues, estimate repair work, and prepare service proposals
- Oversee service work orders from intake through completion, including scheduling, logistics, and execution
Key qualifications and experience
- Strong background in commercial roofing service, repair, and maintenance
- Proven experience leading field crews and managing service operations
- Ability to physically perform roof inspections and assessments
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
- Comfortable estimating service work and interacting directly with customers
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and shifting priorities in a fast paced environment

- $80-90k base salary, eligable for performance based bonus and incentives
