What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at Executive Recruiting Group?
We are seeking a Facilities Shop Manager for our two facilities in Broomfield, Colorado who can plan, build and maintain laboratories, propulsion facilities, machine shop and engineering infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and optimize laboratory and machine shop layouts
- Lead capital equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Manage explosive-safe work areas and ensure regulatory compliance
- Oversee machine shop operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Manage facility utilities, infrastructure, and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate facility expansions, renovations, and new construction projects
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, EHS, and vendors to support business growth
- Ensure facility readiness, safety, and operational reliability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience managing technical or manufacturing facilities
- Experience procuring and installing capital equipment
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and compliance
- Experience supporting laboratories, manufacturing, or R&D environments
- Project management experience with multiple concurrent initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- ATF/NFPA explosive facilities
- Aerospace R&D labs
- PMP Certification
Salary : $115,000 - $160,000
