Automotive Service Writer
Executive Park Tire is Calhoun’s oldest and only full-service tire and automotive repair center. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship. We’re looking for a motivated Automotive Service Writer to join our team and be the vital link between our customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
· Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns.
· Document repair requests and prepare accurate work orders.
· Provide clear service estimates, timelines, and explain recommended repairs.
· Communicate regularly with customers regarding repair status.
· Review completed work orders and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Promote additional maintenance services when appropriate.
· Maintain service records and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Inventory management of in-stock parts and tires.
· Conduct daily/weekly inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Requirements
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Basic automotive knowledge to explain technical issues in simple terms.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with service management software and office tools.
· Prior experience in automotive service or customer-facing roles preferred.
· Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
· Inventory Management: Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
· Inventory Data Management: Update inventory databases, track product movements, and maintain accurate documentation.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
