The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0901-15 Appellate Administrator (Chief Clerk) generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serving as principal advisor concerning case processing, records management, and related case management involving the processing of incoming cases and issuance of judicial decisions.
- Providing technical assistance to the Board of Immigration Appeals management team regarding the development of policies, procedures, practices, systems, and approaches to identify the most efficient practices, methods, systems, and procedures to achieve case management goals.
- Initiating and ensuring appropriate coordination, consultation, and cooperative working relationships with Federal officials, court officials, attorneys, and individuals involved with case matters.
- Leading various aspects of case administrative management operations.
- Directing the work of a staff consisting of two deputies, a team of supervisors, administrative, technical, and support personnel.
