Overview
We are seeking motivated Part-Time and Full-Time General Cleaners to join our dynamic team in Kalamazoo, MI 49001. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy environments across various facilities. Part-Time: Monday - Friday / 5pm-9pm
Full-Time: Monday - Friday / 3pm-11pm
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and residential spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and floor buffing to ensure spotless results
- Operate floor buffers and other floor care machinery safely and efficiently to maintain high standards of sanitation
- Follow strict safety protocols when handling chemicals and heavy lifting to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep
- Maintain cleanliness standards by adhering to sanitation procedures and safety guidelines at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; training provided for the right candidates
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and chemical handling safety procedures is a plus
- Experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely following proper lifting practices
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance or basic repair work is beneficial but not required
