We are seeking a motivated and energetic Full-Time School Cleaner to join our EMS team in Indianapolis, IN 46268. This vital role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment by performing comprehensive custodial and sanitation tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across school facilities.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to maintain a healthy environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas with attention to detail.
- Follow all safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or custodial cleaning environments with janitorial expertise.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and other custodial tools effectively.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and students.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance, including basic repairs or upkeep tasks.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
