Job Title: Avionics Instrument Technician (Analog/Component Level)
Shifts: 1 shift, M-F (8-5)
Pay Scale: Based on Experience and Qualifications
Start Date: Immediately
Industry: Aircraft Instrumentation/Avionics Repair & Manufacture (FAA and AS9100/ISO Certified)
Experience Preferred: 7 years.
Job Overview: Our team is expanding! We are seeking a skilled Avionics Instrument Technician with a specialized background in component-level troubleshooting for analog instruments. The ideal candidate possesses a sharp eye for detail and the technical proficiency required to maintain complex avionics systems within a highly regulated environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Technical Repair: Perform precision testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics instrumentation down to the component level.
- Diagnostics: Utilize electronics troubleshooting expertise and/or air data experience to identify and resolve instrument issues.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to company policies, Maintenance Manuals, FAA Regulations, and AS9100/ISO quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair actions performed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience working with analog avionics instruments at the component level in aviation or military environments.
- Root Cause Analysis: Proven ability to identify the source of technical issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
- Electro-Mechanical Aptitude: A strong mechanical background combined with practical electrical experience in aircraft maintenance settings.
- Technical Literacy: Strong ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Precision Tooling: Mastery of hand tools including multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, calipers, and soldering equipment.
- Professionalism: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Communication: Fluent in reading, writing, and comprehending English to ensure absolute safety and regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Compliance
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Drug Testing: Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test.
- FAA/DOT Regulations: This position is a safety sensitive position and subject to mandatory Random Drug and Alcohol Testing.
