Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and ensure all necessary forms are completed accurately 
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Book, confirm, and reschedule appointments for multiple providers; optimize provider schedules to improve patient satisfaction 
  • Record Management: Maintain and update health records
  • Billing & Payments: Process patient payments, handle billing inquiries
  • Phone & Communication Hub: Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route inquiries to the appropriate staff; manage emails and faxes .
  • Office Operations: Maintain a tidy reception area, ensure availability of necessary materials, and order/receive office supplies 
  • Compliance: Follow all healthcare regulations and safety standards at all times 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment as a team player
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with anxious or time-pressed patients
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and FWA healthcare privacy laws

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Experience with insurance verification
  • Experience with prior authorizations  

Work Environment

This is a front-office role in a healthcare setting, requiring frequent interaction with patients, staff, and providers. The environment is fast paced, with attention to detail and adherence to strict confidentiality standards essential.

Salary : $650 - $950
