What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Drafter position at Executive Homes?
Architectural Drafter
Entry-Level · Full-Time · In-Office · Tulsa, Oklahoma
AutoCAD · Bluebeam · Residential Construction
ABOUT THE ROLE
Executive Homes is an Oklahoma homebuilder that delivers the design quality and attention to detail of a custom builder with the efficiency and repeatability of a production operation. We build across the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metros, and the work is done entirely in-house — you won’t be handed off to a third-party firm or working from someone else’s templates. You’ll sit alongside experienced designers and learn residential construction documentation from the inside.
This is a role defined by precision and consistency. The core of the work is executing redlines and maintaining a library of over 100 active residential plan sets — keeping every drawing current as standards, details, and options evolve. If you take repetitive tasks seriously and take pride in doing them right every time, you will fit here.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute redline markups in AutoCAD — translating designer corrections into clean, updated drawings
- Draft and revise standard plan components: floor plans, elevations, and site plans
- Reproduce repetitive plan elements across multiple projects with consistency and accuracy
- Audit and update plan documentation across a library of 100 active plan sets to keep all drawings current with the latest standards and revisions
- Perform basic drawing checks and flag discrepancies for senior review
- Support file management, printing, and document coordination for the team
- Participate in team reviews and apply feedback to continually improve your output
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
- Some background in residential architecture or construction — through coursework, an internship, or work experience — is preferred
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for PDF markup and document management
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy on every drawing
- Ability to take direction, follow redlines precisely, and ask the right questions
- Clean file habits — organized, consistently labeled, easy to hand off
- A growth mindset: you are here to learn, and you show it
COMPENSATION
STARTING SALARY

The natural progression from this role is toward greater plan ownership, more complex assignments, and advancement to a senior drafting position with higher compensation. We promote from within the drafting team.
ABOUT EXECUTIVE HOMES
Executive Homes is an Oklahoma homebuilder that delivers the design quality and attention to detail of a custom builder with the efficiency and repeatability of a production operation. We build across the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metros and their surrounding areas.
Our drafting team is deliberately small — and kept that way intentionally. A lean team stays agile, and agility matters because we are constantly improving our plans, our processes, and the systems we use to produce them.
Everyone on the team carries real weight. There is no overhead to hide behind and no bloat to blend into. If you want your contributions to be visible and your work to matter from day one, this is the place. If you are looking to do the minimum and skate by, it is not.
HOW TO APPLY
Submit your resume and any relevant work samples — coursework, personal projects, or professional drawings are all welcome. We review every application and will reach out to qualified candidates for an initial conversation.
Executive Homes is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels.
