Drafter

This role focuses on creating detailed technical drawings for shielding solutions used in modular enclosures, with a primary emphasis on MRI shielding. You will use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce accurate 2D and structural designs that support the engineering and manufacturing of specialized enclosures and chambers.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to draft detailed drawings for MRI shielding and related modular enclosures.
• Create, modify, and interpret technical and engineering drawings to support structural and mechanical designs.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings that reflect project specifications and design requirements.
• Apply structural drafting and design principles to develop layouts for shielding systems and enclosures.
• Incorporate mechanical drafting principles appropriate for a manufacturing environment.
• Review and update blueprints and structural layouts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Collaborate with senior drafting and drafting leadership to align designs with project standards and practices.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure drawings meet quality and engineering standards.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with 2D drafting.
• Experience with structural drafting and design.
• Ability to create, modify, and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical drafting principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail when working with blueprints and structural layouts.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for drafting and design.

• Experience drafting for shielding systems or modular enclosures is beneficial.
• Background in architectural or structural drafting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to mechanical or structural components is helpful.

The work environment is casual and collaborative, with a small drafting team that includes a senior draftsman, a drafting manager, and several draftsmen. You will work closely with experienced drafting professionals in a setting that supports learning, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tulsa,OK.
