Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role located in Port Charlotte, FL. The Service Technician will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on residential and commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning and heating units. Daily responsibilities include responding to service calls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing scheduled maintenance, and documenting work performed in a clear and accurate manner. The role involves traveling between job sites, communicating with customers to explain findings and recommendations, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards and company procedures. The Service Technician will collaborate with team members, maintain tools and equipment in proper working order, and support high-quality service delivery to all clients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including routine HVAC servicing and component replacement.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working at multiple customer locations and managing on-site tasks independently.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, provide professional support, and build positive client relationships.
- Candidates should possess general Maintenance skills applicable to HVAC systems, tools, and related equipment.
- Relevant HVAC certifications or licenses (such as EPA refrigerant handling certification) are beneficial.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial HVAC systems and familiarity with safety regulations is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work in various indoor and outdoor environments, and operate hand and power tools safely.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation are required for field work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC or a related field is an advantage.
