We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join the kitchen staff of our client in Amityville for the summer.

Support the head chef in running a busy summer kitchen. Strong line skills and seafood preparation experience required. The dates for this job are June 1 – September 8.

Job Description

Salary : $20 - $30

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in prep, cooking, and plating of menu items
  • Shuck and prepare clams and oysters efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Support head chef and other kitchen staff
  • Follow food safety and kitchen protocols

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience
  • Strong hands-on skills with seafood preparation
  • Ability to shuck and prepare clams and oysters
  • Available for full season (June 1 – September 8)

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
