Position: Sous Chef | Salary: starting $65,000 | Full-Time
Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar in Huntington, NY is seeking passionate and experienced Sous Chefs to join our dynamic team! If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant environment and are ready to take your leadership skills to the next level, we want to hear from you.
As a Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the high-quality standards our guests expect while helping to lead and inspire our back-of-house team. You'll work closely with our Executive Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, exceptional food quality, and a memorable dining experience.

What You'll Do:
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
- Maintain recipe, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
- Conduct regular inventory checks of ingredients and supplies
- Assist the Executive Chef with prep lists, scheduling, reports, and paperwork
- Manage food and labor costs efficiently
- Collaborate with management on planning and executing special events
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants
- Strong leadership and team management skills in a kitchen environment
- Solid foundation in inventory management, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the operation
- Ability to work 11–12 hour shifts as needed
- Knowledge of food safety practices and compliance standards
- Background in catering or food service management a plus
