Abatement Project Manager

Our client, a large and well-respected environmental remediation company, is looking for a Project Manager/Estimator for environmental remediation and asbestos abatement oversight for projects in NYC, LI, and NJ.

The position will be responsible for overseeing asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects. This includes managing project budgets, schedules, staffing, and on-site operations to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations. They will also assist in estimating future projects, conducting job walks, and contributing to the overall success of our project management team.

Salary : $95000 - $105000

Responsibilities

• Manage asbestos abatement and environmental projects from planning to completion.
• Monitor Supervisors daily paperwork including a logbook, chain of custody form, worksheets, manifest, tailgate safety forms and job hazard analysis.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and field operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct site visits to enforce all Federal, State and City asbestos regulations, including OSHA, EPA and AHERA guidelines, company policies and procedures.
• Act as a leader, interacting with our supervisors, field workers, management, administration team, clients, ensuring that teamwork and safety are our number one priority.
• Prepare and review project documentation and submittals.
• Conduct job walks for estimation and project planning.
• Conduct job kick-off meetings, participate in daily group calls with supervisors and management, and perform daily on-site evaluations to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
  
  

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in the environmental field, with relevant remediation experience.
• At least 3 years of project leadership experience for remediation work and overseeing crews.
• Valid NYS, NYC & NJ Asbestos Supervisor License - if not all three, at least a combination of two.
• If not possessing all three licenses, the employee is required to attend all scheduled training classes as well as online assigned training as directed to be eligible for all future work assignments in different states.
• Willing to obtain out-of-state asbestos licenses to support future project needs.
• Not required but the ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Availability and willingness to be available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to complete job paperwork including but not limited to; tailgate safety briefing, waste manifests, daily worksheets, logbooks, trip logs, chain of custody forms and other forms as directed.
• Ability to read and understand Federal and State regulations, including but not limited to NYS DOL, NYC DEP, NJ DOH, DOT and OSHA regulations as required.
• Willing to travel between locations and/or multiple job sites during the day, overnight travel is also required.
• Ability to work in high and low temperatures outside and sometimes work in conditions where noise levels are moderate to loud.
• Ability to review Project Bid Packets and submit pricing in a timely manner.
• Ability to review and submit Notifications and Variances for responsible agencies in NE, NJ, NY & NYC.
• Ability to read and create Health And Safety Plans per customer requirements.
• Ability to work on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to read an Asbestos/Lead Bulk Sampling & Analysis Report
  

Compensation

Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000 depending on experience/credentials.
