Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound exams following IAC, ASE, and SVU guidelines.
- Assist with cardiac ultrasound procedures as needed.
- Provide compassionate, safe, and effective patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Notify interpreting physicians of any critical values immediately after procedures.
- Document procedure-related information in electronic medical records and cardiovascular imaging systems.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment that aligns with our mission and values.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED with registry certification, OR
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
- Certifications (Required):
- Either: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) and RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) from ARDMS
- Or: RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) and RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) from CCI
- Will consider registry-eligible candidates; must obtain certification prior to start date.
- Experience:
- Prior clinical experience or training in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging preferred.
- Experience working in a non-invasive cardiovascular lab is a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Able to manage digital image storage and retrieval systems effectively.
