Senior Director of Service Operations
Industrial Equipment | National Field Service Operations
Location: Blackwood, NJ - relocation available
Compensation: $130k – $165k base bonus
Our client is a well-established industrial equipment organization with a large national service footprint. They are seeking a Senior Director, Field Service to provide executive leadership for end-to-end U.S. service delivery, including a 100 technician field organization across four regions and a centralized service operations hub supporting dispatch, parts, tracking, and billing.
This role owns service strategy, execution, financial performance, leadership depth, and customer experience at a national scale.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for a national field service organization (100 technicians across four regions)
- Oversee and optimize a centralized service operations facility responsible for dispatching, tracking, service parts, and final billing
- Drive operational excellence, efficiency, and accountability across all service delivery functions
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs tied to service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance
- Own service P&L, cost controls, and overall profitability
- Develop and execute strategies for profitable growth of refurbished equipment sales (direct and online channels)
- Analyze complex service performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Technical Support, and Billing
- Mentor senior leaders and build leadership bench strength
- Maintain strong, executive-level communication and visibility
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale service operations (Director level)
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop large, distributed field service teams
- Background in industrial equipment service or closely adjacent industries
- Experience servicing both company-owned and competitor equipment
- Strong financial acumen with direct P&L ownership
- Demonstrated success optimizing operational efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Exposure to refurbished equipment lifecycle management and/or sales is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
