This leadership role will drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, accident prevention, and operational risk reduction while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and executive leadership teams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead company-wide transportation safety and compliance programs across fleet operations.
- Drive initiatives focused on accident reduction, CSA improvement, and driver engagement.
- Oversee DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, HOS, ELD, and driver qualification compliance.
- Lead safety investigations, corrective action plans, and claims management efforts.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve fleet safety performance and reduce operational risk.
- Monitor telematics, camera systems, and operational data to identify coaching and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and deliver safety training, onboarding, and ongoing driver safety initiatives.
- Maintain audit readiness and support regulatory inspections and customer reviews.
- 7 years of transportation safety leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, fleet compliance, and driver safety programs.
- Experience managing CSA scores, accident prevention, and regulatory audits.
- Leadership experience supporting multi-terminal or regional transportation operations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience within specialized fleet operations is highly preferred.
- Experience with telematics, ELD systems, dash cameras, and safety technology platforms is a plus.
