This is a newly elevated leadership role reporting directly to the CAO and is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and actively owning the close—not just overseeing it.

What You’ll Do
- Own and drive the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage core general ledger activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and multi-entity accounting
- Establish consistent close schedules, documentation standards, and review controls
- Partner closely with international accounting resources to improve quality, accountability, and workflows
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and close checklists to support scalability
- Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and technical accounting support
- Assist senior leadership with financial reporting, compliance requirements, and lender-related reporting
- Research and document accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions
- Identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and process efficiencies
- Act as a working leader and mentor, setting expectations and elevating accounting standards across the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a smaller or growth-oriented organization
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
- Demonstrated success improving close timelines, controls, or accounting processes
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
- Experience working with distributed or international accounting teams is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus
- Industry experience in telecom, technology, or managed services is helpful but not required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
- Salary range: $150,000–$160,000
- Fully remote role (Eastern Time preferred)
- No physical office—100% distributed workforce
- Initial 30-minute virtual interview with the Chief Accounting Officer
- Follow-up virtual meeting with the CFO

Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
