This role will work closely with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, estimating teams, and field staff to ensure successful coordination and constructability across all project phases. The ideal candidate will have experience with BIM coordination, HVAC systems, construction documentation, and MEP collaboration in a commercial construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems throughout project lifecycle
- Lead coordination meetings with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams
- Produce and facilitate coordination drawings, sketches, and constructability reviews
- Review shop drawings and submittals for dimensional accuracy and compliance with project specifications
- Manage incoming and outgoing submittals, drawing logs, and project documentation
- Distribute updated drawings, addenda, and project information to relevant stakeholders
- Support estimating efforts through construction document take-offs and coordination reviews
- Visit project sites regularly to evaluate installation progress and quality
- Work closely with estimating, field operations, and MEP subcontractors throughout preconstruction and construction phases
- Assist with ongoing process improvement and technology adoption within BIM and MEP coordination workflows
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, BIM coordination, or MEP coordination
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems including rooftop, hydronic, and exhaust systems
- Familiarity with plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems is highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specification packages
- Experience with Procore, Navisworks, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and related construction software is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both in-office and on active construction sites
