Senior Accountant

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Revenue Recognition Process: Input Data, Sales Tracking, Running Automated System Amortization, Bi-Monthly and Monthly System Automated JE’s.
• Contract Review: Analyze and interpret member contracts, identifying key revenue recognition implication and ensuring accurate recording of revenue transactions.
• Month-End Close: Participate in the month end closing process, including preparing monthly Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, reconciling accounts and variance analysis.
• Analytical, detail oriented and innovative in helping to find new ways to establish best practices and efficiencies for the team.
• Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements in revenue recognition.
• Assistance with risk management accounting and administration
• Develop strategies and skills to help you understand business needs and requirements.
• Audit Support: serve as a contact for revenue-related audit inquiries, providing necessary documentation and timely resolution of audit findings.
• Support to the Director, Revenue with ASC 606 revenue recognition or as needed

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of professional accounting experience, including month end close.
• Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) desired
• Experience with ERP systems, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
