ROLE SUMMARY: The Overnight Security Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members, and property during overnight hours across Hotel Drover, Stockyards Hotel, Hyatt Place Fort Worth, and Stockyards Station meeting spaces. This role requires heightened vigilance, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies while upholding Hotel Drover’s Legendary Hospitality. The ideal candidate thrives working independently and as a team, maintaining a calm presence, and supporting overnight operations in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Patrol all hotel areas, including guest corridors, public spaces, and back-of-house, to ensure safety and security throughout the night.

Monitor security systems (CCTV, alarms, access controls) and respond to irregular activity or alerts.

Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted.

Document and report all incidents thoroughly.

Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.

Enforce hotel policies in a respectful and consistent manner.

Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.
-
Report maintenance or safety hazards to the appropriate areas.

Lock/unlock entrances as scheduled and ensure overnight access points are secured.

Respond to guest and team member requests, disturbances, or incidents with professionalism and urgency.

Respond to engineering calls and assist with basic maintenance or emergency needs as required.

Support front-of-house operations by acting as a Bellperson and delivering food or amenities during overnight hours.

Assist with room lockouts, lost property, and escort services as needed.

Complete accurate incident reports, overnight activity logs, and hazard inspections before shift end.

Act as the primary point of security contact during overnight hours.

Maintain confidentiality of all guests, staff, and property information.

Welcome and acknowledge all guests with genuine hospitality while anticipating and addressing needs.

All other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, including entire shifts.

Ability to remain alert, active, and engaged throughout overnight shifts.

Move quickly as required to respond to emergencies.

Lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs without assistance, heavier items with assistance.

Work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions, and move over uneven or slippery surfaces.

Bend, stoop, climb stairs, and navigate confined or elevated spaces.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to work the following hours: Friday and Saturday (11 PM-7 AM)

Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Luxury hotel setting with high guest and team member interaction.

Fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere requiring professionalism and discretion.

Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with guests and team members.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to de-escalate situations.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Must possess strong observational skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or security roles.

First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Familiarity with security monitoring systems and emergency response protocols.

Conflict resolution and de-escalation training.
