Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
- Assist with medication reminders and monitoring health status as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation to appointments or social activities.
- Provide catheter care as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and long-term care practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and varying health conditions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
