Radiology Technologist I

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CT scans, according to established protocols.
• Prepares all materials and equipment appropriate for procedures. Selects and operates equipment as directed.
• Selects proper technical factors on individual’s patient basis.
• Evaluate images for quality and completeness, ensuring they meet diagnostic criteria.
• Practice sterile techniques, preventing cross-contamination.
• Plans work detail to meet daily work schedule consistently within scheduled shift.
• Demonstrates broad knowledge of assigned areas.
• The degree to which the technologist determines standard of care follows federal, state, local, and other accrediting agencies.
• Degree to which follows instructions reliably, utilize supplies and equipment in cost efficient manner.
• Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Provide patient care with compassion and professionalism.

Position Requirements:

• ARRT registered and qualified in CT.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a radiologist performs radiographic procedures at technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
