Key Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing services to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and facility standards
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to responsibilities
- Participate in facility surveys and government inspections
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing residents’ discharge plans
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery and staff performance
- Address and resolve concerns or complaints, reporting findings to the Director of Nursing
- Welcome and assist new residents to ensure a smooth transition into the facility
- Accompany physicians on rounds as needed and facilitate effective communication
- Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules
- Provide direct nursing care when necessary
- Assist with performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Florida
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English
- Ability to make independent decisions and handle situations professionally
- Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures, regulations, and standards in long-term care
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives
- Willingness to adopt new practices and continuously improve care delivery
