Key Responsibilities
- Support the DON and ADON in the daily management of nursing operations.
- Supervise professional and non-professional nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
- Ensure all nursing staff comply with facility policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Oversee unit scheduling and staffing to maintain appropriate coverage while minimizing overtime.
- Address staff and resident concerns, escalating issues appropriately to the DON.
- Implement counseling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, care plan meetings, and relevant committees.
- Provide guidance, teaching, and hands-on demonstrations of clinical procedures and best practices.
- Oversee MDS completion and assist with resident discharge planning.
- Collaborate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of nursing staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and resident-centered care.
- Active RN or LPN license in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.
- At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing preferred.
- Prior long-term care experience highly desirable.
