Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role supports the Maintenance Director in ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and take direction from the Maintenance Director in daily operations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other facility components
- Assist with maintenance of HVAC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems
- Maintain the building and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment
- Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director, as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and families, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment
- Ability to work independently while following direction and feedback
- Knowledge of basic repairs and general facility maintenance
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to maintenance and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, sanitation, and organization
