About The Role
Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Your work will have a direct impact on the comfort and well-being of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, resident beds, and furniture.
- Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.
- Empty wastebaskets regularly and restock rooms with necessary supplies.
- Perform high-dusting, special cleaning projects, and assist in preparations for regulatory audits.
- Report repair needs promptly and follow safety and dress code policies.
- Assist with orienting new staff and take part in performance improvement activities.
- Respond to pages and perform emergency duties as needed to support resident welfare and facility operations.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the healthcare field; nursing home experience strongly preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and proper use of PPE.
