Key Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Help residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and regain independence.
- Provide therapeutic activities and exercises as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate observations to the therapy team.
- Support residents recovering from illness, injury, or other health conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and protect resident confidentiality.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes.
- Follow all applicable facility, state, and professional standards.
- Current Florida COTA license required.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
