We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Nurse Manager II, Labor & Delivery (L&D), to lead and oversee the clinical operations within the maternity and obstetric care unit. This leadership role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care for mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in critical care, acute care, and specialized obstetric nursing, with a strong focus on team supervision, documentation accuracy, and patient safety. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of nursing staff within the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring optimal shift management and resource allocation.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans for residents, incorporating case management principles and adhering to hospital protocols.
- Oversee patient monitoring procedures, ensuring accurate documentation review and compliance with medical records standards.
- Lead efforts to maintain HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all documentation and communication processes.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems effectively to document patient information, monitor progress, and facilitate seamless communication among healthcare providers.
- Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and provide leadership training to foster professional growth among nursing staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for residents' specific needs, including those requiring hospice care or home health services.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics related to physiology and anatomy knowledge application in clinical practice.
- Oversee budgeting activities for the department, ensuring efficient resource utilization while maintaining high standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and other relevant healthcare policies affecting resident care services.
- Facilitate ongoing education on medical terminology, care procedures, and documentation standards to uphold clinical excellence.
Must-haves
- *5 years ANM or Dept, manager exp in L&D
- *BSN but strongly preferred MSN
- * BLS and NRP
- *Exp working in high delivery L&D with 400 deliveries on a monthly basis.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
