Job Description:
Must have a BS degree in EE or similar (Physics for example)
The emphasis really isn’t on someone with just strong ACAD-E expertise.
More about experience with industrial capital equipment.
What we’d like to see:
- Industrial medium to large capital equipment experience (not major infrastructure builds like plants) that are specifically designed for some volume (10s to 1000s) of units
- Think like automation control, automated warehousing, process controls for “shipping container size” equipment
- Cable drawings for that type of equipment
- one-line, interconnect drawings for that type of equipment
- understanding of regulatory aspects like Ul 508A
- NOT a high volume “toaster” or “refrigerator” engineer. Custom capital industrial equipment that lives on a manufacturing floor or in the field…but repeatable. Not a plant “one and done”
- power and controls focus - not PCB
- works directly with mechanical team to layout control boxes (scale is not plant-level)
In addition to the ACAD-E electrical schematics design, they will also need to be “in the weeds” doing cable drawings, wire run lists, and panel assembly oversight. They need to be willing/able to be on the floor with fab/assembly to make changes on the fly and advise.
