Account Manager

Excellis Interactive
Collegeville, PA Full Time
POSTED ON 9/30/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/28/2026
The Opportunity

Excellis Interactive is seeking a relationship-driven, commercially ambitious Account Manager to own the day-to-day management and profitable growth of our Comcast relationship. Your primary responsibility is to build relationships that produce business: personally closing new opportunities, expansions, renewals, and extensions while maintaining a healthy pipeline and protecting profitability.

This hands-on role combines sales accountability with an embedded client-partner approach, keeping you closely involved with client stakeholders, engagements, recruiting, and every Excellis resource on the account.

You will report directly to Excellis leadership during and after a structured six-month transition, progressing to independent account and commercial ownership within company guidelines. Regular on-site engagement in Philadelphia is essential; remote work complements that presence, with the mix determined by account needs. Internal specialists and operations support will partner with you, while you remain accountable for execution and results.

In This Role You Will

·   Build trusted relationships across the client organization and turn them into signed business.

·   Own sales, renewals, expansion, pipeline, and account profitability.

·   Serve as the single accountable Excellis contact for client-facing account matters and the primary contact for all assigned resources.

·   Drive recruiting, resource success, and delivery oversight with hands-on client-partner involvement.

Job Responsibilities

·   Build relationships and uncover opportunities. Proactively develop connections with new buyers, hiring managers, and stakeholders through introductions, on-site meetings, lunches, and relationship-building activities. Understand their priorities and reinforce relationships through email, phone, video, and authorized Teams communication, personally managing scheduling and follow-through.

·   Own account planning and performance. Maintain an actionable growth plan, accurate pipeline, renewal calendar, and revenue forecast. Establish measurable commercial goals with leadership, report account health and risks, and take corrective action to achieve retention, expansion, and profitability objectives.

·   Lead discovery and close business. Independently qualify business, technology, and staffing needs, including budget, timing, and decision authority. Involve specialists for deeper technical scoping, then personally drive proposals, stakeholder alignment, negotiation, and agreements through signature and purchasing approvals.

·   Actively sell renewals and extensions. Engage managers before contracts expire, confirm needs and funding, demonstrate value, and close follow-on agreements. Pursue expansion and replacement business when engagements conclude rather than assuming existing revenue will continue.

·   Create proposals and negotiate contracts. Develop persuasive presentations, estimates, staffing plans, deal sheets, and statements of work (SOWs) defining scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, pricing, and invoice milestones. Coordinate procurement, legal, and internal approvals while exercising sound commercial judgment.

·   Protect scope and close additional work. Identify out-of-scope requests with delivery teams, assess resource and financial impacts, and lead client discussions. Negotiate and close change orders, amendments, or additional SOWs, keeping teams aligned with approved commitments.

·   Track and protect engagement profitability. Establish and maintain a financial view with operations covering contracted revenue, billing milestones, planned versus actual resource costs, remaining work, and forecast profitability. Keep project/SOW allocations accurate, address overruns, and use results to improve pricing and staffing decisions.

·   Resolve commercial and approval issues. Coordinate contract and invoice-milestone handoffs to operations. Lead client-facing resolution of rejected invoices or deliverables, delayed approvals, and related obstacles, coordinating supporting information and corrective action through resolution while operations manages administration.

·   Drive recruiting requirements and candidate evaluation. Deeply understand each role with the hiring manager. Develop job descriptions and role-specific video interview questions, coordinate sourcing, and assess resumes, responses, and screenings with recruiting support. Involve specialists when deeper competency validation is needed.

·   Prepare candidates and coordinate interviews. Refine resumes accurately, prepare candidates for client expectations, and personally drive callbacks, interview scheduling, and feedback. Use permitted calendar and collaboration tools to keep candidates, hiring managers, and interview participants informed throughout the process.

·   Own placement and on-site onboarding. Coordinate selection, rate alignment, acceptance, and start dates. Ensure documentation, equipment, access, introductions, and first-day readiness, leveraging internal support and experienced Excellis colleagues on client projects while retaining accountability.

·   Support every resource and build a connected team. Proactively check in with all Excellis resources across account projects. Address concerns, recognize contributions, and provide consistent communication, structure, and a sense of connection to Excellis and the broader team.

·   Oversee performance and resource continuity. Work with client managers and delivery leaders to monitor deliverable quality, workload, progress, and client satisfaction. Address performance concerns and coordinate replacements, coverage, redeployment, and offboarding without taking over day-to-day project management.

·   Maintain limited, meaningful billable participation. Contribute visibly through defined coordination or oversight responsibilities within an approved billable engagement. Use authorized client tools and organizational information to collaborate, keeping project time limited so sales and account-wide responsibilities remain primary.

Ideal Match

·   An exceptional relationship builder first: naturally initiates conversations, earns trust, and develops meaningful connections beyond an inherited network.

·   Highly ambitious and driven to sell and close: persistently pursues opportunities and turns relationships into measurable commercial results.

·   A hands-on, organized owner: personally manages detailed execution, competing priorities, difficult conversations, and dependable follow-through.

·   A commercially disciplined problem solver: balances client value, resource well-being, delivery quality, and profitability while taking independent responsibility for outcomes.

Skills & Tools(Must Have)

·   Proven enterprise relationship-building and independent professional-services closing experience, with specific examples of deals personally advanced through negotiation and signature. Demonstrated results matter more than a senior title or fixed number of years.

·   Experience selling and managing both project engagements and individual consultant placements, supported by strong account-planning, pipeline-management, and negotiation skills.

·   Experience creating proposals, estimates, staffing plans, contracts, and SOWs, with sound judgment about pricing, resource costs, revenue, scope, and margin.

·   Hands-on recruiting and resource-management experience, including defining roles, evaluating candidates, coordinating interviews and onboarding, and supporting assigned resources.

·   Practical technology fluency to lead initial discovery about digital platforms, software delivery, customer experience, and AI-enabled services, involving specialists for deeper solution design.

·   Demonstrated daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for research, meeting preparation, communications, proposals, recruiting, and follow-through, with output verification and appropriate handling of confidential information.

·   Strong communication, presentation, organization, and cross-functional coordination skills; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and common CRM and recruiting tools.

·   Residence within reasonable commuting distance of downtown Philadelphia, or willingness to relocate, and commitment to regular on-site engagement. This is not a fully remote position.

(Nice to Have)

·   Account-management or client-partner experience at a professional-services company serving Comcast, Verizon, telecommunications, media, or similarly complex enterprise accounts.

·   Experience selling or staffing digital, technology, creative, product, or marketing services; familiarity with AI, automation, and enterprise digital platforms.

·   Familiarity with Indeed, LinkedIn, and enterprise procurement, vendor-management, onboarding, and access processes.

·   Relationships within the Philadelphia-area enterprise, telecommunications, technology, or digital-services community.
