Duties
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all podiatry clinical programs, ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with organizational goals
- Deliver high quality podiatric care throughout the state.
- Manage day-to-day operations to optimize service delivery.
- Supervise medical staff including podiatrists, foster professional development through training and mentorship.
- Implement and utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for accurate documentation of patient records and medical histories.
- Monitor budgetary performance, control costs, and oversee billing processes related to podiatric services.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare management best practices including utilization management, medical records accuracy, and patient safety protocols.
- Must be able to successfully obtain additional licenses in other states as directed by management.
- Extensive knowledge of podiatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective leadership.
- Proven experience managing healthcare teams within hospital or outpatient settings with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of managed care principles, insurance processes, utilization management, and medical billing practices.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation, reporting, and data analysis purposes.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies, FDA regulations pertaining to medical devices or drugs used in podiatry.
