Onboarding Specialist Responsibilities
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance through their first day of employment.
Ensure all required pre-employment documentation, licenses, certifications, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Communicate regularly with candidates, facility leadership, and corporate departments to provide updates and support throughout the onboarding process.
Schedule pre-employment appointments, orientations, and start dates while maintaining onboarding timelines.
Monitor onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items to ensure a seamless hiring experience.
Assist with onboarding audits and maintain accurate electronic records and employee files.
Provide exceptional customer service to new hires by answering questions and guiding them through the onboarding process.
Partner with recruiters and facility teams to support staffing goals and ensure a positive new employee experience.
Onboarding Specialist Qualifications
Previous experience in onboarding, recruiting coordination, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
