Excelcare at Lewes is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Director of Human Resources & Payroll to oversee HR operations and payroll administration for our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role supports our mission of delivering compassionate, resident-centered care by building strong teams and fostering a positive workplace culture.
What You’ll Do
Manage all HR functions including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
Oversee payroll processing, timekeeping systems, and wage reporting
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
Support staff development, engagement, and recognition programs
Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure confidentiality
Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR and payroll matters
Collaborate with department heads to support staffing and retention goals
What We’re Looking For
Experience in HR and payroll, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Kronos)
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on employee support
