Who You Are:
Excelacom is seeking a Data Analyst with 1–5 years of professional experience supporting data-driven business decisions. You should have strong skills in writing SQL queries, building interactive Tableau dashboards, and performing detailed data analysis. The ideal candidate has a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights and can work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, validate data accuracy, and support client deliverables.
At the Analyst-Level, you will support business solutions through research, data collection, and analysis, contribute to client deliverables and proposals, take ownership of tasks, and embody the firm’s brand and core values.
Role and Responsibilities:
You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.
Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate complex datasets
Create and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into usable analytics
Perform data quality checks and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data
Assist in developing KPIs, analytical summaries, and presentations for clients
Support client deliverables by providing data insights, reports, and ad-hoc analysis
Document data sources, processes, and visualization logic
Work with cross-functional teams across business, product, and technology groups
In addition to delivering at the client site, you will occasionally be tasked in productizing Excelacom’s work, contributing to our Center of Excellence and intermittently working on Excelacom proposals to the client.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of professional experience working with data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting
- Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, table structures, stored procedures, data validation, performance optimization)
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau
- Ability to analyze large datasets and summarize findings for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience documenting processes, logic, and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong math, written and verbal communication skills with an analytical approach
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of database structures, ETL processes, or data warehousing concepts
Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus
Knowledge of Agile environments or project-based delivery
Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
Experience in a professional office environment or relevant internship experience
