The Plumbing Journeyman works on a team under supervision to execute new construction projects, primarily for commercial spaces, while demonstrating the company's core values.
Accountabilities

- Provide quality installation

- Observe and implement safe work practices and OSHA Guidelines

- Quality Control
- Adhere to all Federal, State, and local codes and regulations
- Knowledge of the Kentucky State Plumbing Code, OSHA guidelines, and safe work practices
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to distinguish between various plumbing equipment and components
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or within a team
- Ability to work on weekends, at night, or to work overtime as required
- Ability to dig a trench and read a site level; operate boom & scissor lifts; knows basic plumbing fittings and tools; read a tape measure and level; install underground pipe with proper fall and pipe bedding; install riser clamps and other hangers; use Pex tools and solder; set toilets and wall hung lavatories; operate a quickie saw & band saw; insolate water lines/ roof drains and make them presentable
- Install WH, MS, and other finish fixtures; install gas pipe and make it presentable; install underground system with proper fall and pipe bedding; install rough in vent and water pipe per KY code; adhere to plumbing code and fixture units; read blueprints and scale drawings
- Complete look ahead; operate boom & scissor lifts and excavation equipment; pushes safety on jobs and take proper precautions; install gas pipe and make it presentable; install underground system with proper fall and pipe bedding; install rough in vent and water pipe per KY code; keep jobs, truck, and tools in a presentable condition
- Install plumbing equipment following applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company policies
- Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time as instructed
- Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with co-workers
- Ensure all paperwork needed for each job is accurately filled
- Comfort with working from elevated platform mobile equipment
- Managing activities of the project at job sites
- Maintain maintenance records as required by company, city, state, and EPA regulations
- Assess a problem and provide a solution or communicate with the project foreman
- Installing plumbing systems in new build, renovation projects, tenant finish, service, etc
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools and test equipment utilized in the trade
- Display professional company image
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions during all seasons
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs safely
- Must be able to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
- Must be able to remain in a standing position 80% of the time
- Perform any other duty as directed

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Year of experience
- Journeyman license certification
- Possession of valid driver’s license with a good record of driving
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable about OSHA guidelines
