We’re seeking a positive, personable medical office assistant to join our team. You will connect with new people and raise the bar on excellent customer experience in a supportive, friendly, family environment. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in working 30-34 hours per week, primarily in our Oshkosh office with some hours in our Appleton location. Responsibilities
- To ensure a warm, welcoming, efficient front desk area. Responsible for great first impressions to patients, referral partners, and vendors
- Respond to customer inquiries, product, and service questions
- Managing communications between therapists, physician offices and insurance
- Informing patients about insurance benefits and the cost of care
- Verifying insurance coverage and managing prior authorizations
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
- Maintain customer accounts and make updates with new account information as necessary
- Assist with marketing projects
- The qualified candidate must be highly organized, efficient, be able to multitask and perform tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- Must have graduated high school, received a G.E.D. or equivalent
- Display strong communication skills, active listening skills, and personal skills
- Strong knowledge of customer interface and interaction
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- High degree of accuracy with data entry
- Communicates in professional, accurate and articulate manner
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Training and/or experience in medical office procedures is helpful
- Previous education in medical terminology is helpful.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
