Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday - Thursday
- 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Lunch 12:15 - 1:00)
- Greet families with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming and child-friendly environment
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs with accuracy and efficiency
- Guide new families through the intake process, collecting and entering demographic, insurance, and consent forms
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide timely, friendly communication to caregivers and referring providers
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient scheduling and clear communication between staff and families
- Verify insurance benefits and assist families with questions related to coverage, copays, and authorizations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
- Help manage daily clinic flow, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure families feel seen and supported at every step
- Support general office duties such as scanning, filing, supply organization, and light tidying of front desk area
- Contribute to a positive team environment aligned with Excel's mission and values
- Previous experience in a medical front desk, patient intake, or customer service role strongly preferred
- Passion for working with families and children in a healthcare setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly, and empathetic demeanor
- Comfortable with technology, including EMR systems, phone systems, and basic office software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
