Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for industrial construction projects.
- Establish and implement project controls procedures, including cost estimation, progress tracking, risk management, and performance measurement.
- Monitor project progress, analyze deviations from plans, and provide regular status updates to management and project teams.
- Manage the change management process by assessing scope changes, evaluating their impact on schedule and budget, and communicating changes to relevant parties.
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor resource allocation and utilization, ensuring that the project stays within resource limits.
- Analyze project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project schedules.
- Prepare and present project performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, progress, and potential challenges.
- Participate in project meetings and provide expertise on project controls-related matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Controls Specialist in industrial contracting or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Viewpoint, Primavera, Microsoft Project, Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industrial construction processes, procedures, and safety regulations.
