We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Industrial Production Supervisor to lead and support production operations in the manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of dryblend PVC. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily plant activities, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining product quality, and promoting team engagement and productivity. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to operational excellence in a continuous production environment.
Qualification Standards:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in plastics, chemical, or PVC production preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading production teams, improving safety performance, and meeting production targets.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Proficient in using production tracking systems and related software.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE compliance, and other OSHA safety programs.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify performance trends, and implement process improvements.
- Effective at troubleshooting production issues and coordinating maintenance or technical support as needed.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification.
- First Aid/CPR or supervisory safety training.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all OSHA, site, and company safety requirements at all times.
- Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other critical safety policies.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operations Leadership
- Supervise daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Monitor operator performance, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and quality departments to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
- Team Development:
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement among production personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations, recommend training, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Promote open communication and encourage input from team members to enhance operations.
- Production Oversight:
- Track and report key performance metrics including output, scrap, downtime, and efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation of production data, shift reports, and incident logs.
- Assist with troubleshooting and process adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve production efficiency, safety performance, and product quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Support plant initiatives related to 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and preventive maintenance programs.
