EXCEL Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dock Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will support daily dock operations by coordinating inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate documentation, and working closely with drivers and warehouse teams. Responsibilities:
- Process and verify all inbound and outbound shipment paperwork, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Schedule dock appointments and communicate with carriers and drivers.
- Maintain accurate logs of freight activity in our warehouse management system.
- Inspect shipments for damages, shortages, and discrepancies; report issues promptly.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks.
- Keep the dock area clean, organized, and OSHA-Compliant.
- Assist with inventory counts or other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
- Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Basic computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft word/other preferred.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work Rotating shift work. (Days and Nights)
