Location: THIS JOB IS BASED IN MINNETONKA, MINNESOTA - Hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote) This is a year-round hybrid position.

Job Statement:

The Success Coach plays a key role in supporting the school’s mission to deliver high-quality online education. Acting as the primary contact for new and at-risk students, this position provides academic guidance, program planning, tutoring support coordination, and motivation to help students achieve success. The Success Coach delivers exceptional customer service to students and families through various communication methods to foster a vibrant and inclusive sense of community. By building strong relationships, promoting collaboration, and encouraging engagement, the Success Coach helps students feel connected to the school and their broader educational experience.

The role also includes responding to student helpdesk tickets, handling incoming admissions calls, and offering immediate assistance to all students as needed. It is a fast-paced position and the ability to multitask is critical.

Position Summary: Success Coach

Excel Education Systems is seeking applicants for a full-time high school student success coach position. The person in this position is part of the school operations team that supports fully online students in their academic journey toward graduation.

Responsibilities Include:

Admissions Support:

  • Respond to admissions-related calls, providing accurate and detailed information about programs, application processes, tuition, and enrollment procedures.
  • Address inquiries received through website chat, texting systems, and email, ensuring a seamless and positive communication experience.
  • Guide prospective students through the enrollment process, offering support with documentation, deadlines, and program selection.
  • Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to refine messaging and improve the prospective student experience.
  • Respond to chat messages from the website and texting system.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for student support inquiries submitted through the Learn Stage ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Support students in navigating the school’s online learning platform, addressing technical issues, and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

Academic Support:

  • Assist students in planning out courses. Guide students in program planning, ensuring they meet academic and personal goals.
  • Coordinate tutoring support and additional academic resources for students requiring extra assistance.
  • Help students develop personalized academic strategies to overcome obstacles and maintain progress in their online education journey.
  • Proactively monitor student progress, reaching out to those who may benefit from additional guidance or support.
  • Provide timely communication to students to ensure they stay engaged and informed about program requirements, deadlines, and support resources.
  • Promote school initiatives, workshops, and webinars to encourage community engagement and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to identify trends in student inquiries and develop strategies to address common challenges.

Student Support:

  • Deliver exceptional service to students and families using various communication channels, including phone, email, chat, and text.
  • Provide clear and empathetic communication, resolving concerns and addressing feedback to maintain a positive student experience.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and other departments, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. A state teaching license is preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with teen and adult learners, and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledgeable in human dynamics: Understanding the needs and challenges of online students.
  • Strong telephone communication skills: Connecting with students and addressing their needs.
  • Strong proactive approach, problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Starting Salary: $50,000 - 55,000/year benefits.
