Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk are responsible to operate powered industrial trucks (Forklift) to loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items and transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Loading and unloading groceries from vehicles such as trucks
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Move inventory and materials across facilities
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Ensure forklift is properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready to operate
Qualification requirements
- Good math, language and reading skills
- Minimum 18 years old
Physical demands and abilities
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck (Forklift)
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime on a regular basis, including holidays
