What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mixer I position at Excel Distribution LLC.?
Los Pinos Bakery is a production line located in the Houston area providing bakery items, frozen and baked, to our multiple clients. We are hiring employees who are responsible for the mixing to prepare artisan Mexican bread.
Essential Job Functions:
- Read a recipe and follows exactly
- Measure ingredients and combine in mixer
- Remove large batches of dough from mixer
- Lift heavy chunks of dough from mixer to the divider to be separated and raised
- Ensure that daily production targets are met
- Ensure the bakery is clean and appropriate sanitizing procedures are followed
- Take care of equipment, keep up on maintenance and reduce unplanned down time
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to remain calm and cool-headed during production time
- Good organization and time management skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience is preferred
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a stressful environment and fast-paced production line
- Must be able to repetitively lift and carry of 50 pounds or more for the duration of shift
- Must be capable of standing, walking, and squatting for extended periods of time
- Must be detail and result oriented, committed to product quality without jeopardizing safety
- Exposure to extreme cold (coolers and freezers) and heat (cooking equipment) for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work on weekends, holidays and overtime on a regular basis
